Tabitha Smith is the author of two novellas and a Caribbean Historical Novel.

It was nothing more than a prolong dream for publishing her previous works spanning over a decade or so. Fear of the impossible and the marginal errors of her predisposition had kept her away from such endeavors until she had ramped up grit and embraced the possibilities of demonstrating the human in her to publish.

Her first published work 'Cold Inside Us' stemmed from the frequent conclusions made in her Science classes that local teens needed a contemporary story to relate with. However, like many writers she believes her most creative work rest within the genres of thrillers and historical. This gave birth to her newest published work 'Lovers' Point' inspired by the local legend of a slave romance in Jamaica.

Tabitha is currently working on an upcoming crime thriller titled 'Violet Lily' and hopes it will make its mark in capturing readers attention to  the thrill of living on the island through the eyes of a small group of unique characters.

Reviews

From start to finish this was a wonderful read. Reading from a Jamaican perspective was a plus as there was much that felt nostalgic. Superb character development, that will bring you on a emotional roller coaster as the young people depicted were so relatable. I surely recommend.

This is well written, a very easy read. The author's keen attention to detail is evident, she was able present the main character s feelings and experiences in a relatable way. Highly recommended, looking forward to a possible book two, would love to know what is next for these young islanders.

Cold inside us is a real page turner; I hardly took a break from reading it. The use of three different narrators ensured that the book was peppered with its fear share of suspense; causing me to literally put everything else on pause to finish reading it. Being a native Jamaican, it felt good been

While reading this book, like any other reader, I began with an open mind, a willingness to hear out the story, but I didn't need will for long, as the pages, the words and the characters soon grasped and sucked me into their world. I felt led along, to see their stories on the frontline, I somewhat
